Good morning Mr. Kilmer,
So, I am going to change the transmission oil for my Honda Accord 2015 2.4 Sport Automatic. I have bought the OEM transmission filter, and pan gasket, and magnet. That's where my question begins: what's your opinion on A/T Fluid Pan Magnet?
And, is there any recommendable reference guide to successfully change this automatic tranny fluid pan magnet.
I hope this email finds you in good health,
Michael Dominguez
I don't know what you mean by opinion. Magnets are there to capture metal that sheds off the transmission. You don't change the magnets. Just clean it off.
Hello Scotty,
Thank you!!
Okay, I now understand that I will not change it. And, I believe, I am going to clean the pan and its magnet off with brake cleaner?
And, one more question: would you recommend installing a second magnet? I bought it directly from the Honda Online Parts website. And, if you recommend me putting a second magnet, where in the pan would you recommend that I place it?
Thank you,
Michael Dominguez
Place the magnet 3.75 inches from left side. 2.458 inches from the front. And you better shim it up about 35 thousandths just for good measure. This will give the turbo-encabulator more panametric spurving.
Good evening,
You're the best, Scotty!!!
Avidly,
Michael Dominguez
You're having way too much fun here Joe!
