I am seeing those 2.8L babymax colorados coming down in price now and kind of want the zr2 version.

My current daily (80km round trip work drive) vehicle is a 2016 cx5 gt. would i be a total idiot to replace it with an out of warranty, our of production chev?

especially if parts of those diesels might not be made any longer. cheers. (many on sale are in 60-100k mile range. i need something to be worry free for at least 60k miles).

i get it the engines might be ok, being part isuzu, but what about all the other things on it? bearings, bushings, trans, accessories on the motor, etc?

Although I hate to judge before all the facts are in, it does not sound like the greatest idea in the world. Maybe as an additional vehicle to play around with on the side it would be OK.

@chucktobias i have a second vehicle, a mazda5 van, that my wife uses for kid related things. but being out 1 car would be tough as we live in the burbs.
