I have a 1988 gmc r1500 rwd sierra classic suburban. It has 106,000 on the body and 225,000 on the motor. It has the 5.7 350 fuel infected motor. I've been having problems to where I drive somewhere and try to start it and it won't start unless I give it gas. I decided to replace my entire distributor yesterday and now it starts up like it should after driving and I don't have to give it has to start. However now all of a sudden when I'm driving and slow down or come to a stop it high idles or just completely stalls and does not want to stay started. I was thinking maybe it could be a bad fuel pump?
It should to more of a vaccum line thing.
Did you disconnect one by mistake.
I am not familiar with your engine .. hope this helps
@klob
All the vacuum lines are connected and clean I thought that was a possibility as well
