Battery warning light

2013 F-150 80k miles, automatic, well maintained.

The battery warning light dinged and appeared on the dash while driving. I pulled over and the warning went away. I checked the connection of the battery terminals and all was in great shape (new battery 6 mo. ago).

Is this an early sign of my alternator slipping toward the grave? It has never been replaced.

I would get a history, may have a short, hard to say remotely, electrical issues are one of the hardest things I have had to deal with.

Alternator is going .. if you can get away with change the relay module on the bushing as the magnets wear out over to good luck.

Have your alternator load tested to be sure. Auto parts stores do it for free. While testing, turn the lights on and set AC/Fan in max position.
