I have a 2005 Ford Escape XLT. As I start to drive with in a few minutes the things starts a pattern of beeping. It beeps 5 times, 5 times in a row. My snap on scan tool showed no codes, there are no evident air bag issues. What is causing these sets of beeps. After I drive it 30 min it does it again 5 beeps 5 times….????????I am lost at this point….
Have you checked your owners manual?
that could be a warning sound.
Yes, I can’t find anything about that sequence of beeps…
After a 2 minute google search -

Did you put stuff on the passenger seat? If so then you need to buckle the seatbelt
Yes, I have done it both ways….empty and weighted, buckled and un buckled….
any messages on the dash, like 'door open' or something?
Is the park brake set?
any other indicator lights on the instrument panel?
Do you have TPMS on your truck? If so, check the tires pressure.
It does not have that feature. I am about to just install manual gages and pull the beeper module of the cluster board…LOL
So, it most Lily related to the air bag system. Have you tried resetting the computer by disconnecting the battery cables?
Yes and my snap on scan tool checked the airbag circuit. It must be haunted…
Use another scan tool or take the car to an Autozone and have them scan it.
The issue is written right in the user manual that is related to the SRS system.
