Title gets to the gist of the question. The reason I ask though is I noticed the ATS is out of stock and pretty pricey. I recently used some BG 44K on my Veloster that's close to 100k miles now. I was noticing some sluggishness in acceleration and more vibration than usual.
Here's the thing, I've used Seafoam, Techron, V-Power, and even Redline S-1 either at oil changes or at various times trying to prevent the build up, and after 50k miles it still happened. One dose of the BG 44k and my car is running like new again, which really surprised me.
So yeah, definitely don't have any faith in those other ones anymore. Since the ATS company seems like they are still getting off the ground, wondered what the next best thing(s) would be or if I already found it.
BG products are good. They are on expensive side but they work.
I found it for $27 on Amazon which doesn't seem too bad to me. I guess a lot of the others run in the $10ish range, but what's the point of they don't work that well/at all. I plan on using BG every 10-15k miles so that doesn't seem too pricey at that interval.
IMO, 15k miles intervals is not necessary.
You should never use the Seafoam in an automobile engine.
Agreed. In my defense, I didn't know how much bad information I was getting until I discovered Scotty.
@joshjaks - It's all good!
