Hi! My husband told me to watch you on YouTube and I do. So much information. I have a budget of $60,000. I would like to buy a luxury SUV next year. Which one would you recommend? I would like to sit up and have a smooth ride. A vehicle that's going to last a long time. Also, something that could pull a small trailer and a lawn mower.
I would go with the Lexus RX. If you go with the brand new GX it will exceed your $60,000 budget and gas mileage won’t be great since it’s offered with a V8. Therefore, I would look at the RX.

The towing on the RX is around 3,500 lbs, however. As long as you plan to tow less than that and it’s an occasional tow, you should be fine.

Keep in mind the RX powertrain is fairly new so no one knows how long the vehicle will be problem-free, so there is that risk.

Personally, I would look at a used RX350 from the previous generation with the 3.5L naturally aspirated V6.
For more certain but not guaranteed reliability, the Lexus GX and maybe the brand new TX, as well as The Acura MDX. Even though the TX has no history since it isn’t even out yet, I trust the platform which is similar to a Highlander or RX.
And if you are willing to take a chance with something a little more uncertain because it is completely new, the Mazda CX-90.
Based on your towing needs go with either the Lexus RX or Lexus TX. The tx is new but since it's based on the highlander and Toyota track record I wouldn't be worried about it being a first generation.
An Lexus GX or Acura MDX would be the best ones.
