Which is the best oil for a 2001 silverado with 260,000. Synthetic or a high mileage Synthetic blend.

I use the high mileage synthetic blend, 5w30 Castrol.

What ever the manufacturer recommends. That is always the best bet. . Since your truck is older you can change the oil a little sooner.
Thanks I want to get every mile I can out of it, but it's best days are behind her.
No problem. Just keep up with maintenance. That's all you can do. When you take care of your car it takes car of you.

What is considered high mileage? I've read somewhere that says anything over 70,000 miles is high mileage.
