Best undercoating for trucks?

Hi Scotty!

Just bought a sweetheart of a truck:

2004 Toyota Tundra SR5 4x4 with the TRD off road package. Only 38k miles on her! She has virtually no rust underneath and I want to keep it that way!

So that’s my question: what’s the best - most durable, bombproof, saltproof undercoating product and process to protect this truck for decades to come?

While I do intend to baby her, she will be going off-road for camping adventures occasionally and I want that frame to last if we’re getting muddy or coming back from the mountains and they’ve salted the roads

So what do you recommend and why? POF-15? Line-x? Asphalt based products? What’s the difference? Who should I go to to have it done? Is there a one-and-done solution where I buy once / cry once or is it better to have it done annually? Can you do a deep dive on rust prevention, frame maintenance and how to care for the most exposed parts of a vehicle?

Please and thank you for being the Mr Rogers of mechanics!

Warmest Regards

G

Fluid Film and Krown are reputable brands for rust-proofing. You should also try to wash the undercarriage of your vehicle following driving in mud and/or snow with road salt in it. But these are the barebones basics, others with more expertise could provide better answers soon.
