best used minivan?

Topic starter

i am looking at buying a used minivan in the 160k miles / $5k range. i prefer the sienna but they are slim pickings in my area. what would be the next 2 options?

i am using the van for courier work. if i can get 8 months - i year out of van i will be happy.

edit - i am open to SUVs with similar MPG and cargo room.

Good alternatives to a Sienna are the Highlander and Rav4. Rav4 is not as spacious as the Sienna or the Highlander, but definitely good enough space. All of them can last.

thank you, i thought the highlander would take a big hit on MPG but they get really good MPG for a SUV that size.

do they have the same reliability as the sienna?

yeah, they do, I would probably say that they are more reliable than the Sienna, from what I have seen.

Highlander would be good though it isn't a minivan. The Odyssey isn't great and the Stellantis vans....just no.

My dad is an owner of 2007 Honda Odyssey. He had 150,000 miles on it. He had to replace so many transmissions and some other minor things. I would get a Toyota Sienna or Highlander if I were you.

My dad doesn't drive much cause of gas prices. But at least, he is going back to work today from 3 months worth of Union strike against Kaiser.
