There is no resistor. The blower speed is controlled by a $1400 computer inside the dash.

Could you please describe in detail the problem you are having?

Have you checked the fuses and relays?

Usually on the GM’s it’s inside the glove box.....

I did take out the grove box already. and saw nothing.

Take another look, it’s not meant to be seen easily.
The last time I did it on a Buick I was on my back for a quite while.

I already check all the fuses, all good, the blower will blow on high, and then go down to nothing, then back on again. and stay on even with engine off.

don't post any personal info here please.

You have a fault in your wiring (most likely) or the computer (less likely). Tracing the fault could require a lot of labor, and the computer is very costly. This might not be worth fixing for you.

if you're up to it, just wire in a manual switch, or have mechanic do it.

Ok, Here it is, I have a 1995 Cadillac Deville. 4.9 engine. its Not the Northstar eng. I put a new blower in. thinking that was the problem. Its not. My boss showed me where the resistor is. But its only a dummy plate there, the shape of what the resistor would be. I did look under the glove box. and nothing there. I checked all the fuses and are all good, the blower will blow on high then nothing, then back too high again. then back and fourth. I have to unplug it to stop it. even with engine off,
