How do i find out where the crank position sensor is located? I bought it as blue driver recommended crankshaft position sensor but i have no clue where the sensor plugs into. No luck all videos tell me its by the oil filter at bottom of car. But my cars filter is on top. But the videos was for a passat or jetta.
Since i cant find a video of how to do it. Was wondering how i can get a picture to gui me where the part is located.
Also wife is telling me to give up and give it to a professional.
There is no rush to fix the car i work close by and working on the car keeps me out of trouble on the weekends.
- ps i am an accountant this puzzle keeps me out doors and engaged on something other than spread sheet.
Oil filter on top looks good wish i gad a zoomed out picture that points to where to start looking an second picture point where it is
This is my engine
Your link doesn’t work. https://www.vwvortex.com/threads/2013-cc-crank-position-sensor.8730745/post-106453521
before throwing new sensors at your car, did you verify that it actually failed?
Sensor wires/connectors are not corroded damaged?
Battery/alternator system is in good order?
No crank position signal present on the sensor circuit?
No i did not, i can always take the car to auto zone to double check batteries. The rest i would need to study and figure out
Its a start 😆 i was hoping for a diagram that points to where it is. Like a here it is for dummies version.
Check out the second link. Does it match with your engine?
