Hi, I have an 98 F150. I just had the oil, oil filter & air filter changed. The next morning I noticed that both the break light & ABS lights were on on the dash. Not sure if the former has anything to doq ith the later but I am not sure how to get them fixed. I had the guy at Advanced Auto scan the truck but no codes came up.
Find someone else with a fancier scan tool. There should be some stored ABS codes.
Happened to me also but in different car
It can either be
You abs system acting up
Glitch in system
Possibility broken wheel sensor
Low fluid level
And sometimes car freaks out for unexpected acceleration they can turn on , which was tge case for me.
To rule out the obvious, check your brake fluid level.
Happened to me on a chevy avalanche. It was the ABS control module. I had to sent it to this place in Mizzouri and they fixed it for 100 dollars and sent it back.
