My dad owns a 22 year old ML430 and never changed the brake fluid in it. He is worried that if we change the brake fluid now, that it might start messing up the rubber and seals in the brake system. Any opinions on this? He wants to find a brake fluid that isn't "aggressive" so the brake system doesn't start leaking after the change.

nonsense. old brake fluid is more "aggressive" to your brake lines than new fluid because it has moisture in it.
