I am having a problem finding a brake shield (rt side front, 2001 Ram 1500 SLT 2WD 5.9) to replace the rotted one pictured. Local dealers report part # 52008792AA, which others say is for the 3.9 V6.
Mopar hasn't made them in years, and has none in CONUS. CarID, Rock, AZ, O'reilly's, PartsGeek, LMC, Advance, NAPA, either don't show the part or have shipped me the wrong one.....repeatedly.
Lots of availability for 4-hole and deep-dish versions, even a larger size of this one (3-hole shallow form).
Suggestions?
this has been a month-long project to do a 45-minute bearing replacement! 🙄
buy the closest one and trim to fit. It won't affect much. A lot of people don't even have one.
Ya got a pick-a-part or junk yard near ya? Could find one there most likely. If not no worries. It's not even that necessary of a part really.
My front driver's side disc brake shield rotted away years ago. Hasn't affected anything.
