99 Mercury Sable, 3.0 U engine, automatic, 104,000 miles. Had 1 rear brake cylinder changed. Other one went bad 3 weeks later, I changed it myself, pinched hose off, bled system using Scotty's YouTube video. All was fine for 2 weeks. Yesterday the brake warning light started flashing when pressing on pedal. It comes on but almost seems like it has a short as it flashes irregularly, somewhat dim then bright and on and off. I checked under car and no fluid leaks around drums on back or disks on front, reservoir is full. Could there still be some air in the system? It still stops fine with no fade or pulling. ???
You could open the master and make sure the float isn't stuck.
Does your emergency brake pedal feel loose, like you have stuck cable or miss adjusted cable?
You could unplug the switch at the emergency brake pedal and see if the light goes off.
If you have a master cylinder fluid level sensor, you could unplug it and see if the light goes off.
