I have a 2021 sienna hybrid that we bought brand new. During certain braking situations (stopping from higher speeds or braking while going down hills) I will apply the brakes steadily but notice that there is a jolt of acceleration. Someone with a highlander newest version stopped me in the parking lot and asked if I had issues like this. I was surprised to hear someone else experienced this because I thought I was crazy. Previous to this I brought to Toyota dealership who states that it brakes as it was designed to and they couldn’t recreate the issues I was describing. I have since seen some threads around the internet of others experiencing this. Have you heard anything about this? I would be more than welcome to let you test drive it! Love to hear your thoughts on this, thanks.
Sounds like they're just passing the buck. It could be they have some type of software problem, especially on those new modern cars. With all kinds of crazy breaking and traction control and electronics. I would go back to Toyota and say that and make a complaint and eventually if it is a problem the government will have them look into it and then they will have to fix it
