[Solved] Honda HRV wiring of fusebox ripped by unknown - dealership claimed it's lightning

Hello everyone!

I'm asking this for my sister who owns a Honda HRV 2020.

Her car didn't start a few days ago. After some regular help and towing to Firestone, after replacing the starter without any progress, the shop told her they could not fix it and towed the car to the Honda dealership.

Honda dealership sent her this photo of the harness being ripped apart and red wires being exposed.
After a few days of diagnosis, they finally got back to her with $6000 estimate for replacing the whole wiring system.

They told her it was either a rodent, a thief, or a strike of lightning.
They also didn't guarantee anything even after the $6000 charge, and they told her after that we can diagnose the underlying cause.

She is living in Massachusetts, and I don't have access to her. I wonder if this community knows anyone in MA who does this kind of job and could help her.

I was hoping to see if Scotty might be in Connecticut and if he could spare a moment and take a look at it.
It is obviously not rodent. Every person with sane mind would know that lightning would never hit like this. there should be clear incoming bolt and outgoing trace after the strike of lightning!

She is a grad student and her car is her main transport. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Hesam

All right, the Honda dealers are all scumbags. And what they want to do is replace tall wiring harness which is absolutely ridiculous. Find any decent mechanic who knows how to work on Hondas and has a wiring diagram and they can cut away the bad wiring and soldering new wiring. It's not a $6,000 job
