Bucking and jerking

I have a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited Sport with a V8 I got a misfire in number 3 cylinder The Jeep has 205,000 mi on it. Have plans of replacing all of the injectors with new ones and clean fuel rail.  Would faulty injectors cause my vehicle to buck or jerk back and forward someone said just replace the injectors and replace the shocks all the way around the Jeep and that normally fixes everything but I just want to make sure it's not a transmission issue. So when I'm driving down the road it almost feels like it's not getting enough fuel but it's not cutting out once I let off the gas it stops doing it but once I accelerate over 55 it does it again. What should I do?

I would do more diagnosis before replacing parts like fuel injectors. I've run cars that have hundreds of thousands of miles and not had injector problems. Take a look at live data for anything suspicious, fuel injector problems would probably make for funky fuel trims.

Have you checked the simple stuff like air and fuel filters, spark plugs, distributor cap & rotor, ignition wires?
