02 jeep liberty, 3.7L, 2 wheel drive with 127k miles. When I do a mid/hard brake I get this smell like burned brakes. Pads are new, rotors are good, back shoes and drums replaced months ago. Where can the smell be coming from?

A leaking slave cylinder in the rear drums or a leaking caliper on the front.
