Hi I have a 2008 bmw 650i, there's white smoke coming out of the tail pipes only when stationary. The car runs great still and there's no oil leak anywhere around the engine or on the ground. Is there an additive that will stop that smoke? I went to a mechanic and he said it's just burning oil but without checking the car. Please get back to me I really appreciate it thanks.

Are you sure it's not just condensation from the exhaust due to cold weather? Is your oil level going down? Is there oil fouling on the spark plugs or oil residue in the tailpipe? Is your coolant level dropping (head gasket)? Any evidence of coolant in the oil or vice versa?

Burning oil produces blue smoke, moisture or coolant produces white smoke. There is no additive that will stop smoke.
