I have a 2007 Mercedes G55 5 door W463. I bought it in 2008 used one owner with 30,000 miles. Truck has been great over all I currently have 217,000 miles. Its 100% stock, I change the oil ever 5,000 miles plus any maintenance that’s recommended . It is driven hard, I do tow up to 3000 lbs and off road a lot. One thing is it has always burned oil even after I bought it but usually on longer trips about 300 miles or more and when I’m pushing the throttle towing or not towing. I end up adding 1 litter usually on the trip down and a sometimes 1 litter on the way home. The only visual issue I see is the exhaust tips show some soot. I have ask different Mercedes mechanics and other mechanics over the years what they think and they say it’s normal. Is it? I plan on keeping the G, should I be worried or can I do anything to fix it or just leave it alone.
