Buy a highway driven silverado

Hey Scotty, stumbled on your youtube page last week. Loving it.

I am located in Alberta Canada. I have the opportunity to buy a 2017 Silverado 1500 LT Z71 4x4 (5.3L V8,, automatic, loaded interior features incl. leather) with 50k miles for the Canadian equivalent of $22k USD. Buying it from a good friend who bought it NEW in BC Canada. I know that 90% of that mileage was on the highway (Traveling between BC, AB, Arizona). He is considering selling as he does not anticipate spending much time in Canada anymore.

Not sure where these Silverados sold in Canada were built. I know you don't like GM products, but this seems only lightly used and could likely sell with minimal loss after 5 years of use (before 100k miles) considering the higher prices for resale vehicles in Canada. Worth buying at that price? anything I should watch out for such as the rear differentials? It Does not seem to have the Active Valve Management system (phew!)

Thanks in advance.
