Hey,
I'm looking to buy a 2002 Camry SE for $6,000 with 50K miles from a private seller. The car looks great and all, with only a Bank 1 Oxygen Sensor code popping up.
If I do buy the vehicle, what should I look for and do you have any recommendations for repairs/maintenance I should do once I buy the car? I was thinking about using ATS 505 Engine and Fuel Cleaner as soon as I buy it.
Thank you
XL
Very expensive for a car that age. How much longer do you realistically expect a 21-year-old car to last in daily use? Age takes its toll as well as mileage.
You'd want to have a good mechanic check it out thoroughly if you proceed. You'd also want some verification of the low mileage claim. You can expect components deteriorating due to age, particularly those with rubber parts. Seals may be leaking or will be in the near future. Rust can also be a big problem.
