- Hey Scotty, love your videos. As you know the prices for new and used cars are absolutely absurd. I’m in the market for a 2021 Civic Type R. When do you think is the beat time to buy one? Do you think prices will plummet soon for these cars? Is it worth looking into getting a used one if not? Thanks!

Adding @CarlJason98 who owns one
No one really knows when the prices go down. If you do not have to buy it, just hold on that for now.
Civic type r is good reliable and fast as long as u maintain it .
They are fast but not meant for drag racing. If you think you can go toe to toe with hellcat then bad idea. Type R is made for racing in circuits and sharp turns.
In 2022 honda is releasing a new model for type r. It is gonna be gen 1 of 2022 which I recommend avoiding at first, because new tech always has issues and a gamble.
I recommend buying the one from 2019 to 2021. UI is imporved. Better grip and control. Limited version is what owned best investment ever. Literally beat Mercedes BMW also audi in a circuit race.
So I recommend buying from 2019 to 2021. Both base and limited are fun but limited has better suspension and braking. If you buying for daily driving get the base if for fun and track get limited.
For 2022 Is gonna be a gamble so just wait and see.
The only con with type r is it requires
Premium gas
Sports tire I use Michelin tires
Proper maintenance like oil change
Don't shift like a maniac
Don't do red lines
For God sakes don't go on drag race you gonna blow up the engine
Forgot to mention important.
Dealers especially at Honda knows the car value so make u pay extra and accessories. So don't fall for it and pay extra or over pay how the car is worth.
Don't buy accessories especially on limited because everything is included you will be pay for nothing.
Take the car for test drive
If buying used get it checked by professional mechanic
And driving is gonna be bit bumpy and u will feel every single bump
To get most experience drive the car in track mod
Don't use cheap gas and tires
If any further questions just ask.
ALSO THEY ONLY COME IN MANUAL no automatic
If you need additional help or questions let me know will help u as soon as I can
