Hi Scotty,
So glad you have moved to beautiful Middle Tennessee. My husband and I moved to Smyrna, TN in 1987 from Texas.
At this time,, we need to buy a newer car because my 2004 Cadillac Deville needs to be replaced.
For the newer car we don't want to spend anymore than $15,000 for everything including tax, title & license.
My Cadillac's size has been good for my real estate clients. They are comfortable and can adjust the temperature in front & back.
I'm now 72 & my husband is 83. We would like to have as few maintenance bills as possible. Would you help us find a good car that will meet our needs?
I love your videos & have told so many people about them.
Thanks in advance,
Laverne Barton

My MIL is in her 70s, and so is my grandma, they have some mobility issues nowadays, so if they were considering purchasing a new (used) car, I would tell them to get like, a Toyota Corolla or Toyota Prius, something that's small and easily maneuverable, that they can get in and out of easily, and is also good on gas. You can also generally pick up a 2012-2015 Corolla for a bit less than a 2012-2015 Camry.
So that's my advice to you guys. A 2012-2015 Toyota Corolla, but get one with a backup camera, my MIL says looking over her shoulder to back out isn't quite as easy as it used to be.
And have a mechanic check it out before you buy.
There are reasons for that. The 2012-2013 Corolla is reliable but less comfortable and somewhat low quality compared to the Camry of the same years. I would only consider the Corolla from 2015 onwards because the 2014 had issues.
I know, way less space and less plushy seats, but a lot of the older folks tend to need a shorter car with better visibility which you don't get in a gargantuan Camry. Safety on the road is more important. They need to be able to see over the dash. The seats only move up so far...
What are your thoughts on the 2013-2015 Toyota Camry? Prices around 8-13 grand.
There are many cars to choose from. But first you need to choose what you want. Is a midsize comfortable sedan your style? The Toyota Camry is for you then. Reliable, practical, comfortable. If you want something bigger, consider a Toyota Avalon. Some want an SUV so how about a Lexus RX?
If you want the least maintenance bills, get a 4-5yr old Toyota Camry, after its been thoroughly checked by your trusted mechanic.
