Hi scotty, I wanna buy a Toyota Camry 2014 SE and the seller offering one with 100,000 miles being a private seller, second owner and selling at $11,000.
I have the seen the car history and service records and all seems fine. please is that a good deal to go for?
He is asking way too much money. It is a 7 years old car with over 100k miles.
that was what a thought.. I really need a car and looking for one currently
@yaser
He is in California and I am also in California and 2014 Camrys are listed for depending on condition and trim, $9500-$13000. So when I saw it I saw it as a normal price. I would still look for a better price though and in the end not pay more than 10 grand.
So you guys better off going out of state to buy a car.
@yaser
loL the best deals in California are salvage ones that is why 2 of my family's last 3 cars had salvage titles. Clean titles are extremly expensive. I look at craigslist in like Chicago and Houston and prices for Toyotas are 60 70 % of what they are here it is crazy. For reference, yaser which state do you live? Here a 2002 Toyota Corolla goes for about $3500 or a 2007 Lexus RX listed at 9 grand. How much prices there?
For sure, I don’t live in CA. But I’m serious, you guys should drive to Houston and buy car there.
Maybe in the future i will do that. The thing in Ca is that new cars are very inexpensive. 5 6 grand off msrp. Heck new cars are less expensive than used ones sometimes.
Those Camrys are very reliable cars. A very nice car but he is asking way too much for a 7 year old vehicle I would get it for less. Also have a trusted mechanic check it out if you decided to buy it.
at what price range should I be looking at for a 100k miles?
Depends on where you are. In California, 10 grand is fine, so the 11 grand could be negotiated to a good price. I hear that cars are much cheaper in other states.
I am in southern California....Los Angeles. the private seller is in Ontario California
Oh I am in Sacramento here in California they are usually listed for 11 12 grand if you can get it for 10 grand that could be a good deal. Also, have a mechanic check it out and make sure it is in good shape.
