Hello everyone ,
Buying a used car in Ontario is crazy with the inflation here! I was looking for 2 weeks to find a good deal and test drove half a dozen cars.
I ended up settling on a 2010 Toyota Matrix XR with the dealership upgrade package that was meticulously cared for at the Toyota dealership with the car fax records to show they didn't even change their own wipers lol it has 125,000 kilometers no accidents they were asking 11,377 cad and I got them down to 10,300 cad . Does that seem like a reasonable price for the car considering it's age and mileage and condition ?
I was looking for 2 weeks
Only 2 weeks? I waited years before I found what I wanted. But I had something else to drive in the meantime.
I didn't have the luxury of waiting much longer sadly . I test drove a 2015 Ford focus that had 143,000 km asking price of $14,500 that drove like crap of all the vehicles I test drove that was the most expensive and by far the worst
These 2.4L engines can burn massive oil regardless of how well they’ve been maintained.
As far as the price, I do not know how’s the situation in Ontario - but that’s about 40% of the price of a new for one that’s 13 years old and has quite a bit of millage in it…
If that one has the 1.8 engine, it could be a good car, and last a long time at least, especially at only 78k miles.
