Buying an undriven Jetta

Hi Scotty, I saw a 2013 VW Jetta GLI 2.0T with 48,000 miles manual transmission from a guy who hasn't driven it over the last year. He wants 9000 for it, is it worth getting it? I hooked it up with the blue driver one scanner and saw many low voltage codes, is it just from a weak battery?

I would say don't buy it where it is a Jetta. Plus the fact that it has a turbocharger makes it even worse.

Thanks :d

Pass. Who knows what electronic parts have been ruined.

Yes, it could just be a weak battery, but it could also be a lot of other much bigger problems.

If you’re serious about it & the owner wants the money, ask them to instal a new battery & check if the car starts & runs normally and if all the codes disappear.

Then, take it to your mechanic for a thorough inspection.
