It would definitely help a lot if you include the information @yaser asked for above. But since you said new I'm assuming brand new latest model then yes buy one if you want. The Tacoma still offers the V6 option and some trims you can even pick between automatic or manual transmission and it's a good truck. If you meant the Tundra yes they had waste gate issues at first but they've solved it. Yes it's turbocharged but I'd still trust a Toyota turbocharged engine over other manufacturers.

In these days, if you want to get a Toyota truck, get the Tacoma. The new Tundras are going downhill because of the twin turbo V6 engines that are added to them. So if you're looking forward for a Tacoma, I think it may be worth it or so.
