Scottie I have a 2014 Lincoln MKX front wheel drive and the left front brake locks up in town or driving down the highway, I have had it into the Ford Dealership they have replaced brake booster, brake line hose, caliper , master cylinder and ABS module, still locking up any ideas?
What sounds to me like they're just guessing they're not analyzing. The vehicle should be road tested with an expensive scan tool hooked up recording the data for the braking system and then when it locks up look at their dad and see what's going wrong. Now. Normally it's just something simple like a caliper the hose, but in your case, obviously it's not. I would give up with an idiots you've been using. The obviously have no idea what they're doing. It could be as simple as one of the break. Metal lines is slightly bent and it's restricting it could be a lot of things. Could even be something wrong in the ABS computer system or in the valves in the ABS system. Not releasing. But that's what mechanics get paid to do they're not supposed to get paid for guessing
Thanks for your input, I have an appointment to take it back to the dealership simply because the part that they put on is under warranty. I have driven it after they replaced the HCU module and it seemed to be okay (replaced it 10/17/22) however I only drove it about 20 miles one way at a time until recently, I drove it about 50 miles and it locked up twice , I pulled off let it cool down and drive it a little farther till I reached my destination. If they try to sell me something else I will be going someplace else for sure.
