Corvette C5 Z06 2003, manual transmission, no codes
Hi Scotty, thanks for sharing knowledge with us. I've been watching your videos for last 4 years and learned a lot. I know you would advice against getting a GM but here I'm.
I've a C5z Corvette and I'm facing electric issues. Sometimes, when I try to crank the car, whole electric power is shut down. Nothing works - head lights, dash lights. To resolve this, I just disconnect the battery and re connect it within a few minutes and everything starts working.
This started happening when water got into my car this year.
There are no other issues except blinkers stop working sometimes which is common for these cars.
After reading forums, I've already cleaned grounds. Frequency of the issue has decreased but I needed your advice what to look for how to fix this issue other than getting rid of the car 😅
Thanks Scotty!!
Well any electrical problem that's big can do that such as a loose connection a corroded connector or simply a worn out ignition switch
Check the under hood fuse panel to see if it got wet. If yes, spray it with WD40 and wipe it out and blow dry.
