Disc brakes in front drums on rear
I have a friend who daily drives the above vehicle. Twice in three months now she has called me and said something is wrong with her car. Both times both of her caliper mounting bolts had somehow backed themselves out and were completely gone.
The first time could have been on me, I was in a hurry and just didnt use the torque wrench to insure proper torque. The second time however, I triple checked manufacturer torque for them and made sure they were right.
I have no idea what is going on with them at this point and have a feeling she might call again about the issue...
Anyone have some words of wisdom on this subject?
Use some blue Loctite on the threads. (Don't use the the red stuff or you'll have a heck of a time getting the bolts out when you need to!)
