Had to replace one of my brake calipers for it froze up meaning it would not retract when my foot was off the pedal. Anyways the replacement from AutoZone almost immediately getting surface rust. They have a 2 year warranty and even though it is still working fine Lord knows the condition it will be in around year two. Why is this thing rusting where the stock ones do not?

Don't worry about the rust. It will make absolutely zero difference.

It's just cosmetic. What's important is the caliper internals.

It's probably a remanufactured caliper with a low quality refinish.
