Hi, Scotty. Hope your adjusting to Tennessee, and enjoying your new life.
My wife owns a 2017 Nissan Sentra. It came with a standard 3 yr 36,000 mile warranty. Her warranty ends in December of this year. We have received thousands of calls from warranty companies that want to charge $3,000. plus for an extended warranty. We haven't had any problems with this car.
Should we expect a lot of problems from this car in the future? She drives it less than 10,000 miles a year and keeps up with her maintenance. Does this make and model warrant this expensive warranty?
Thanks
John.
Most warranty companies are scams that never pay for anything when it really needs repairing so really I would just maintain it and drive it. Sure the Nissan charger's well made as they were in the past but the warranties aren't going to save you from anything
@scottykilmer
WOW!, just WOW! 3 minutes after I asked, you posted your answer! Your awesome. Thanks
Scotty, you say that "most" car warranty companies are scams, but do you know of any warranty companies that aren't scams?
The only ones you can maybe count on are extended warranties offered by the manufacturers themselves. (Not by the dealers, by the manufacturer of the vehicle.)
When I get those kind of calls I ask them whether they're offering me a warranty on my 1949 Nash or my 1953 Studebaker. That ends the conversation very quickly.
