So I have a 2005 F-150 Lariat, with close to 255,000 miles on it. It’s an automatic with the 5.4L 3V engine in it. I bought it used from a guy and he said that the engine was replaced with a lower mileage one and the cam phasers and timing chains have been replaced, but it may be a tooth off. The codes that pop up are p0345 and p0349 and after it warms up a p0022 code will pop up along with a rough idle. I’ve reset the codes several times and the first two always come back after a couple of cranks. I’ve also replaced the solenoids, cam sensor, and checked the wiring as it’s all good. We plan on checking the oil pan for bearings and refilling it with 5w-40 since it has low oil pressure problems (just recently started) once hot (the oil pressure shoots down when idling and no acceleration or deceleration). Could this oil change solve the issue or is there multiple problems? We also live in around the middle of Georgia.
Well, if the campaigns are some stuff for a replaced and it's a tooth off of do exactly what it's doing so I would have a professional mechanic check of that first before you start pulling your air out. Finding that that is the problem
