Hello,

I have a 2008 Honda CR-V with 89k mills, I replaced a new AC compressor in November last year and the ac was ok , now when the outside temperature goes up to 85 or over the ac don’t blow cold all the way air ,it goes to cold then it goes back to regular temperature air every 8 minutes, they charged the Freon but it does the same thing again , they said the pressure is good every time they check .what is the problem? No visible leak either , the compressor has warranty, is it better to replace it ?

please let me know your response

thank you

Is your compressor clutch still engaging when warm air starts coming out of the vents? That and system pressures need to be observed while the problem is happening if possible. The AC is computer controlled and "they" should be able to test that aspect of it using a bidirectional scan tool. Also your blend door should be tested for proper operation. It's not enough for the compressor itself to be working, these systems are very complex and the electronics are just as important.
