Car dies randomly

I have a 2002 Toyota Camry SE with a V6, and usually it does good, but when I started pulling up that one big hill on the way to town, it suddenly quit letting me accelerate and when I pulled over it died. When I tried to start it back, it did start but did not stay running no matter how hard I pressed the accelerator.

You haven't given us much to go on. That thing is 24 years old so the problem could be almost anything or a combination of things. What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far?

Check your battery, alternator, battery terminals, and cables. Perform a diagnostic scan for codes and live data. Check for vacuum leaks. Check spark plugs. Clean the throttle body and MAF sensor. See troubleshooting section of the site FAQ, and the repair manual for that car in the link below:
