My sister was looking at getting a newer ford fusion, what do you think? I'm pretty sure she wants to buy American, so american suggestions would be appreciated even though I know the Japanese cars are usually better.
Clarification: How many years and miles does she need to get out of the vehicle?
Good question
Lol. Honda Accords are made in Ohio. Toyota Camry's in Kentucky. Ford Fusion's in Mexico.
I agree to but i think it just they are cheaper on the used market.
Try to find a Fusion without the later turbo engines. I've seen 2012's with many miles.
Cheaper on the used market is deceptive IMO. Sure, if you get an older toyota, and a same mileage and year chevy, the chevy will be cheaper at first. After things start breaking, you will wish you had gotten the toyota.
That being said, some older chevys can be good cars. I have several friends that have the tahoe/yukon/suburbans from around 2002 that have done very well. At least 3 friends had them, and had well over 300k with minimal issues. If I had to get american, and was going cheap, I would look hard for one of those.
Yeah, thats exactly what I think. Not really any very reliable American vehicles rn.
Spend the extra on Nippon. It's worth it. American seems cheaper on the front end, but it will disappoint you fairly quickly.
How many here know what ‘Nippon’ means?
I had to Google it.
I don't even know
Or Nihon. And how many here know what it means?
The Sun's origin.
"I had to Google it."
"I don't even know."
Ah, Millenials...

You had me at ‘undeserved confidence’!
Pontiac Vibe. It's a Toyota Matrix in disguise. Don't tell her.
Genius! I was looking for one of these for a friend, they are nice little corolla wagons in disguise.
I had a 2015 Fusion before. It was very reliable. I sold it at 100k miles, tho. If you want a Fusion, you have to get one that doesn't have turbo charge or EcoBoost.
That's what I was thinking sadly she would have to get a real base model one.
Yeah I think the 2.0 would be more reliable just because it's a bigger displacement and she won't drive it super fast.
