Hi, I looked up a car, and the vin shows the car has a salvage title and the cause of loss is theft, but the owner says he has the title for the car and it's a clean title. How is that possible. Who should I believe? I'll attach the report from nicb vinchecker.

Thank you for your responses.

Oh can't upload pics here. Forgot

paste a link to the owner's title too (if it's current)

He's not gonna upload the title. But I do have the vin.

I would not buy any total the car hey if it was stolen the only reason they did so was because too much damage is done to the car

The guy selling the car is ALWAYS a liar, at some level.

Thank you sir's, I won't buy it.
Also found out they post says it's a 2005 matrix with 124k miles, but the vin check says it's got over 155k miles when it was sold in 2014, and it's a 2003 matrix. They car has alot of inconsistencies.

Good for you Grey. Fore warned is fore armed.

Anything indicating salvage or rebuilt means you should walk.

Lots of liars out there selling damaged junk for top dollar.
