Car idling poorly

2002 Lexus ES300 179,000 miles. I just changed the thermostat which requires taking out the air box and everything. Now that it's all back together, my car is idling and accelerating poorly. I hear an air leak and found the tube (it's right next to the intake manifold) but can't seem to find where it's suppose to go. Also not sure how to check for anything else. What should I do?

Here’s some things to check for:

The solution is simple....you installed the thermostate with no car issues BEFORE....you noticed one vacuum line that needs to be connected which probably slipped off during the ait intake operation.  You need to find where that vacuum line goes...its not that complicated..it can only go as far as the total length of th vac line....Find that problem....alls fixed.

Yep. Just gotta find what nipple it slipped off of. Start digging for a happy car once again. Its running too lean!

If it goes to the intake tube taken off it probably goes to the valve cover
