Car jerking after timing chain replacement

My VW Passat 2011 almost 200k KM mileage recently just had the whole timing chain set replaced for preventive maintenance. Valve covered also replaced due to leaking of lubricant to spark plug #1 and #4.

The issue i noticed now is that when I start to do gentle acceleration when rpm is around 1.5k RPM then the car will jerk when it reaches about 2k RPM or 2.4k RPM quite consistently. normal drive it has no issue.

It only happen when i do gentle acceleration at lower rpm.  I use manual mode during acceleration without changing gear to rule out the  gb factor. Pedal to floor seems like no issue as RPM spike up to close to 3k rpm. Is it related to timing not being set properly?

Thanks for your input.

If it was not doing this before changing the timing belt, it is likely that the job was not done well.

Take the car back to the mechanic shop and ask them to fix it for free.

Sounds like the timing belt ( or chain) is a tooth off from where it should be.  Sorry, it will have to come back apart to check.

It turn out that cylinder 2 misfiring and it was due to cracked body of the spark plug. I guess it was over tighten after they replace valve cover.
