Car losing power or slipping

I've got a 2011 Hyundai Elantra with 187000 miles automatic trans .Im trying to keep running till used cars get cheaper. When Im accelerating every 30 seconds to a min it loses power but I just let off the gas and its ok . The dealer says it's the trans but they want 8800 for it. Another place in town will do a used one for 2200 to 3600 . But thats still way too much for this <profanity removed>. And I don't trust any of them . I think its an easy fix and the dealer wants me to buy a car from them and fix mine and sell it. The cheaper places just want the most money out of me. Once just for a moment an emission light came on but just for a moment. and no lights stay on for any warning's. And nobody that hooks it up to a machine is getting any warnings that they'll tell me. When this first started happening I had the dealer flush the trans ( I know now I should not have done ) but I did and then when I came in a few weeks later after flush didn't do anything good or bad to figure out what was wrong I was waiting for the guy that was taking care of my order to come back from lunch and the paperwork was on the desk so I went through it and a few pages down I find a note from the mechanic that when they flushed the trans they put 2 quarts to many of trans fluid in . Another-words over filled it . I found that out on day 2 of being there . Day one they said it was fixed and have a nice day I went home 15 min of driving no problem and then park it ate lunch and went out do do some stuff and the problem was back. They said they had cleared the computer and that fixed it but then it was back so I took it in the next day. If you were any closer then 5 hours away I'd stop by but Im in western NC.

Don't hold your breath. I think you'll be waiting a looong time.

Usually with Hyundai it's a failed transmission. They're just not made well.

Maybe you should cut your losses while it still runs, and before it leaves you stranded. Especially with that mileage.
