Hi Scotty,
I own a Citroen C4 II 1.2L S&S EAT6; it’s an AISIN transmission and read that it’s reliable.
I’m currently facing 2 issues
- When I put the car into drive and release all forms of brakes, it takes about 2-3 seconds for the car to start “creeping” forward; is this normal?
- Whenever I park and move off, there always a puddle of water left behind under my car; I’ve checked it and it seems to be water; is this a cause for concern?
Thanks for helping me out Scotty! Fan from Singapore.

1. Seems like you’re describing ‘delayed engagement’. How often do you change your automatic transmission fluid? Does it also happen in reverse?
2. If it’s just water, that’s a normal byproduct from your AC system (Just like the A/C in your home/office).
Thanks for the reply!
1. Got this car 2nd hand about 2 weeks ago and it’s my first car like ever so am unsure when it was changed; the delay in reverse is about half that time so to me, seems negligible as it’s almost instantaneous
2. Got it!
Appreciate it!
I’d seriously consider having it checked out if it was working as designed or if it’s a problem that’s brewing. Try to find a transmission specialist in your area or find another similar car at the dealer & ask to test drive it & check if it does the same thing.
Oh & congratulations!
Thanks! 😊👍 Very helpful and sound advice I’m gonna take!
It’s normal for a dct. Water is ac condensation
