My car is Toyota Camry 2011 Le 2.5L 4 cylinder automatic. Have 103000 miles on it. I have started hearing a sound like grinding noise which last for a few seconds mostly when you start the car at night. I am currently in Philly. I did take it to the mechanic he says everything is fine and no leaks. But still has this sound for few seconds everyday when I start my car from work but the intensity of that noise do change everyday.
After a couple of days of listening to the noise in the car. I found that this not dependent on cold and is making noise after the vehicle is idle for few hours.
Also, when the car makes this noise after starting and I turn it off start it again the sound becomes louder but does stop after 4-5 seconds. And also if I try to push the acceleration paddle it makes a hissing noise at 1500 rpm. And also when I drive the same hissing noise comes but not always.
I have included the noise when pressing the acceleration.
I am guessing this should be the timing chain loose or something related to it.

It was the flex pipe, was little bent and broken causing that ratting noise. Had it cut and welded a new one. Thanks.
Thanks for reporting back with the fix.
take off the serpentine belt and see if it goes away
I think @mountainmanjoe is on to something.
Sounds like it’s one of the pulleys, when cold -
Check that the starter is properly engaging on the flex plate ring gear. Starter mounting bolts may have come loose. Worth a try.
