Hi Scotty I have a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe sport 2.4L with close to 40k mileage. I am having a issue where sometimes I feel like the car is very slow and I have to push the gas pedal harder to make it move and also the rpm sometimes goes really high. This only happens at random times. Any idea what this could be and also would this be covered under the warrenty? I have the 100k Powertrain warrenty that comes when purchasing it brand new
Is this the same issue which has recurred from 5 months ago?
If it’s a transmission problem, which it sounds like it may be, drive the car straight to the Hyundai dealer & don’t pick it up until it’s fully fixed.
Make a video of the symptoms when it does it, so the dealer can’t claim that it’s ‘normal’.
Also, if possible, scan for any codes before you take it to the dealer.
