[Solved] Car shakes 60 mph 2003 Honda Civic

Hello I own a manual 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid with over 190k miles, has code P0420, but the problem is that the car shakes when going around 60 mph. I replaced both front struts recently and had an alignment done since the wheels were really misaligned. After the alignment, the car started shaking a lot from driver side and a little from passenger side. If I give the car gas, it seems controlled but as soon as I let go of the gas it starts shaking;  it also happens when I turn the steering wheel slightly to the right. Please help its driving me crazy

years ago i did front end work on cars and trucks ..... most of the time when you get front end wobble or shake it would be tie rod ends and or drag link. But if you had a front end tire alignment, the front end man should have check all that ... check your tires to see if they are cupped or out of balance, and try moving tires from rear to front. and check for broken or lose motor mounts.

Tie Rod was loose on one side, tightened and it stopped for the most part, thank you!!

P0420

This code usually has to do with the catalytic converter system. It could be bad  sensors around the car or it could be a bad cat itself.

I had the same code on my 2004 Prius.  Changed out the cats, and code went away.

For the shaking issue, take the car to a good alignment shop. Apparently, the first shop you went did not do a good job.

Most definitely will, steering wheel is going back to the misaligned position it was before!
