If any of you heard of Car Shield, does it actually work in the real world rather than just advertising?
First, it's a business. It will certainly NOT payout more than the carsheild sucks in.
Car shield is fundamentally INSURANCE.
The way insurance works is that if a totally unexpected catastrophe happens, the insurance will pay out. But that is the ONLY time any insurance company will pay out. Read the fine print. Insurance is all about spreading the risk of a catastrophe happening.
The illusion is that if your car breaks down, car shield will come to the rescue with money money money. Ha!
They will only pay if the breakdown happened as an unexpected catastrophe.
They will NOT payout due to lack of proper maintenance, a known and eminent progression toward failure (like old age).
And they will do their best not to pay out, especially now that the money is in their hands.
Still want to but this stuff?
Have to admit, the sales pitch is really, really slick. Tell'em the Swami said so...
You would be much better off taking whatever payment that the Car Shield scammers would charge you and putting it into a separate bank account for possible repairs.
