Car starts up then dies

I have a 2007 Kia Optima 2.4L 4cyl with 256000. I pulled a code P0101 which said my MAF sensor was bad. I replaced with a new one. My car started up, idled low, when I gave it a little gas, it died. Every start up after, it starts and immediately dies. It won't even idle anymore unless I disconnect battery, reconnect, start it up while keeping rpm above 1500. As soon as I let off gas pedal, it dies, and dies EVERY time after that. Its been running fine for a long time, changed my speakers in my doors yesterday, reconnected negative terminal, woke up this morning to this problem. Never had any major issues with this car, this is the first time it has ever acted this way. Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated!

Did you install an OEM MAF sensor? Have you checked live data for clues?

My brother used his scan tool and, after we had replaced with new MAF, showed no problems or codes, while idling, until he hit the gas pedal to bring it back up to around 1,000. Then it died, then showed the code again. He checked all the connections in wiring harness that clips to MAF and all voltage is within range. I don't believe Bluestreak is OEM for Kia, but that's the only brand O'Reillys had.

Just tired it again and noticed, of I give it gas immediately after starting it and keep rpms above 1200, the check engine light goes off, as soon as I let off the gas pedal, it dies and the CEL comes back on.the car doesn't even struggle to idle just immediately cuts off if given no gas

What do your fuel trims look like?
