Car Upgrade, or New Car?

Hey Scotty,

Funnily enough my name is Scotty too! Anywho, I have a 2004 Volvo S60 2.5T (5 speed Automatic) and I was wondering if I should spend money on upgrading my car, or buy a new car instead. If I keep the old car (Venessa) I'll do a rebuild on the engine and I'll get performance conrods so I can tune some more power out of her, and I'll do a turbo rebuild to bring back some efficiency and extend her life. If I get a new car (Newer), I'm planning on getting a 2007-2011 S60R with a standard transmission. Although Volvo is now Sweedish once again and not Chinese, I am still reluctant on buying a brand new car. What do you guys think? If you have any suggestions (such as upgrade parts or common problems on either car) please let me know!

I'm no Scotty Kilmer however, If you are looking for performance at a cheap price I personally would go for an upgrade to a 3rd gen Camaro or Firebird. The stock 305 v8's are a ton of fun even stock but I would suggest getting upgrades though such as a cold air intake and exhaust system (headers back) because not only does it make it look and sound cool but that extra performance, though it may not be a lot, does make a noticeable difference.

Although I do like the idea of getting an american muscle car, for some reason I have a really big knack for i5 and V10 cars. There is just something about the sound and the uniqueness that gets me every time!
